Can I apply any stickers, labels or paint to my helmet?

APPLYING LABELS TO JSP PRODUCTS
Many customers would like to put their own identification on their helmets by way of self adhesive labels or marker pen, however the instruction that is supplied with every helmet states.
Do not apply paint, solvents, adhesives or self-adhesive labels, except in accordance
with the instructions from the helmet manufacturer.
Suitability of a self-adhesive label can only be determined by carrying out tests over the
expected life of a helmet and could therefore take several years. We therefore cannot
guarantee the performance of our products when material other than that used and tested by
JSP Ltd is used to modify a helmet’s appearance.
Material similar in composition to that used by JSP and detailed below will probably not result in
an adverse reaction, however, the only way to establish the suitability of an application of a self adhesive label is to apply the label for a period of time and then carry out a full British Standard
performance test.
