What deems a Fit Tester competent?

To be deemed competent, an individual must be trained and experienced in conducting the fit test method. They must be able to inspect and fit respirators, and to diagnose problems with fitting. Also required is an understanding of the legislation and guidance surrounding fit testing and use of respiratory protection in the workplace.
